The Western Québec Virtual School was created at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year to ensure the utmost safety of all its students and all its teachers with medical exemptions from being physically present at their regular school. It brings together, in a virtual setting, students and staff from all levels. However, to ensure all subjects and levels covered, non-exempted teachers have also offered to help.
Because of its temporary and online-only characters, and opposite its students’ regular schools, the Western Québec Virtual School does not have its own governing board, educational project, or a set of school policies like an Anti-Bullying & Anti-Violence Plan. However, students attending the Virtual School are expected to respect the policies of their regular schools.
